Sequencher Installation

Windows Installation

Unzip Sequencher_Win_Client_6.1.zip before installing the application software.

First Install the License Server Client for Sequencher

Before installing the application software, client software has to be installed to configure
the license key access. Download and unzip Sequencher_Win_Client_6.1.zip, open the directory Sequencher_Win_Client_6.1\Sequencher Client, and double click Setup file to install the client software. During the installation process, the KeyServer IP Address will be asked, the address is license.dfci.harvard.edu.
The client KeyAccess is then configured. Visual description is below.

- Open the folder Sequencher_Win_Client, and double click to open the sub directory 'Sequencher Client' (See Picture1).

- Double click to run the program 'Setup' (Picture2).

It will open a dialog like Picture3.

- Click 'Install' button and in the generated dialog, type in the IP Address of our license server (Picture4).

- After finishing the process, Sequencher will show Picture5 to let you know the KeyAccess has been installed.

Second, Install the Sequencher client for Windows

Next step is to install the application software. Double click Sequencher_4_8_WinAPP.EXE and follow the below images to go through the installation. (Picture 1-5). Note, after the installation, Windows require restart to use the Sequencher.

Macintosh Installation

Download the following two files: Sequencher_Mac_Client_6.1.dmg and Sequencher_4_8_MacAPP.zip.
As in the Windows instruction, before installing the application software, the Client KeyAccess has to be configured. Download and double click to install Sequencher_Mac_Client_6.1.dmg. Type in the KeyServer IP address: 155.52.51.67.

- To install the license key server client software, double click Sequencher_Mac_Client_6.1.dmg. Then follow the steps below (Picture1-5).

- Type in the administrator username and password to authenticate the installation (Picture 6).

- Type in the IP Address of the Sequencher Server (Picture 7).

- After the the AccessKey has been successfully configured, it will be seen from 'System Preferences'.

- Unzip Sequencher_4_8_MacAPP.zip and double click 'Sequencher 4.8' program (Picture1).

- In the generated dialog, type in the administrator username and password (Picture 2).

Next step is to install the application software.

- Then follow the below steps, you will get the application software installed.
