Installation For Windows

Create a folder on your local computer and copy "Lasergene-8.0.2-Win-Install.exe"
and "LG8.lshost" file into it. Double-click the ".exe" file.

Installation For Macs

Double-click "LaserGeneClient8_Mac.zip".
Allow it to be expanded by Stuffit Expander. This will create a folder
called "LasergeneClient8_Mac Folder"

Open the folder then open "LaserGeneClient8_Mac".
Launch "Lasergene 8.0.2 Mac Install".

The installer generates a folder called DNASTAR in
"Applications" this is where you can run the DNASTAR programs.

You can now run any of the Lasergene programs.

DNAStar uses the licenses on the server that is named in the "LG8.lshosts" file

For Update:

Download the client software and double click it.
It will install right over the top of existing Lasergene 7.0 clients.

For New Installations:

-- The &quot&LG8.lshost" file is neccesary for both PCs and Macs before running the installer.

For Windows, create a folder on your local computer and copy "LasergeneXXXwin-install.exe"
and "LG8.lshost" file into it.

For Macs, follow the instruction for Mac installation above...
